Fake voting? Not sure what you mean since all votes are real. Whether high or low, they are real.
What do you mean by fake voting?
Unless a person has greta karma, voting let's say a 1 is not really going to make a difference in the end. The people that have karma high enough to affect votes should generally all be voting well (or else they never would have gotten such high karma)
then see this contes & see the entry which on 29 . . . it's deserve more than it because it is better then 7 or 8 entries in contest . . .
[mod edit: please do not call out specific entries]

I'm not sure how to answer that question since it's very bad sportsmanship to say ANY entry is better than any other ones. I will say that, in the end, entries end up where they more-or-less deserve to end up.
OK..... SIR... I STIL THINK THERE IS SOMTHING WRONG ABT VOTING IN THIS GR8 SITE.
It's always dissapointing when our entries don't do as well as we thought they might have, but when we enter that is the risk we take.
The only advice I can give you is not to dwell on it but just keep entering the comps and improving your skills.
It's best to message an arena admin about this issue instead of starting threads like this that can cause problems.

I didn't see which image you are referring to, but if it's an image that is yours you can always ask for a critique to see why is scored so poorly. Doing that will help you improve for next time.
The voting here takes into account the quality of the work first, so good masking, shadows, lighting, perspective, quality of sources are all going to effect the vote. A great idea poorly executed isn't going to score high.

Conversely, a well done entry with a bad idea (ie. off topic or badly composed) is going to lose points. For example - if you do a great entry, but it takes up about 10% of the image (what you changed that is) it might be hard to see what it is you did, no matter how brilliantly it was done. In the end if the voter has to look hard to see what was done, it's going to end up with a lower score compared to let's say someone that did something that was instantly recognized and appreciated
I guess people are just looking for different things in a image. Alot of things can be taking into acc**t when someone is voting.
However my impression is that sometimes the first entries showed in a conest get more votes. Not sure if that is true, but im just thinking that it could effect it? Just a thought.

I do not know if that is true, but the number of votes does not affect the final score - it is an average after all.
And if it did, I would prefer to be one of the final voted on. The members who stick it out and vote for all entries in a big contest are probably the most conscious voters. The ones who quit after one page have probably never even read the voting scale.
I can assure it's not true and some of the winners currently on the home page were very among the first submitted to the respective contest so there's your proof right there.
I'm going to start entering first! ;)
IQ posted the data before...statistically, it makes no difference in scoring, whenever you submit your entry, be it first, last or in between.
However, the entries submitted later on tend to have more work done to them.
So then it is true? The first submitted (first shown) images have an advantage over the last submitted images.
Also a great entry may not be the best entry especially if they not stuck to the rules or the idea behind it is over used kinda border-line cliche, then maybe it won't score so well.Remember every picture tells a thousand words.
Any well maybe it's telling a different story.also a great quality picture of a man may not get as many votes of a good quality picture of a pretty girl.
as Millgage said Art is subjective.
No, you got that wrong.
The entries that are submitted first show up last (that means on page 2 or 3 of the contest). The ones that are submitted closest to the end of the contest show up on page one.
The entries that have been submitted last usually took more time to make, though, and therefore have more detail and with that a higher chance of winning, so you get the impression that they haven an advantage.
It doesn't HAVE to be like that, as dollylama said. But it tends to be the usual thing.
long point short:
first submitted = last shown
last submitted = first shown
Ah okay. I actually thought it was random in what order they were shown. Is that really true because I recently added a image as one of the last and it was also shown as one of the last :P
I always submit as one of the last, I tend to use as much time I can on a image.
Anyway I think it should just be random.
